Sound deadening my whole Blazer

I am going to deaden my whole 2 dr blazer, doors, roof, sides, floors, and tailgate. I was thinking about doing it all in edead v3 or secondskin spectrum. How many gallons do you think I need? And which would be more cost effective, doing it all in the paint or doing half mat and half paint?

go with the sludge from http://www.secondskinaudio.com, start with five gallons and go from there....just guessing but i would imagine you could use as much as 10 gallons in a blazer.

1 gallon = ~50 sqft, so figure out how much u need.

I cant use Peal n Seal cuz i live in hot south florida and i heard its not good in hot weather.

What about paint? Edead v3 or SS spectrum??

What year Blazer you got??? Keep us updated on this and post pics....

Also, I wonder if there is a way to get some type of measurement before and after to gauge the difference...

after i deaden an area with one layer i always smack it to see how "flat" it sounds peal and seal requires more work than 1 or 2 layers (plus more material). i will say this though and mean it honestly go with what you can afford meaning it might take 200+ feet of peal and seal to do your vehicle right but if its what you can afford use it. on my s 10 im using about 50 ft of dynamat extreme, 5 feet of edead v1, 2 cans of spray and about 1/5 gallon of v block

Well I sound deadened my whole car. I used 6 gallons of Second Skin Sludge, around 80sqft of SS Damplifer, 20sqft of Dynamat Extream (got some freebies from my bud), 35-40sqft of SS Rattle Pad, and 3 sheets of SS Over Kill (dunno how much sqft, but I would say around 120-150sqft). You should need around 5-8 gallons of liquid deadener depending on how thick you want to put it on and where you want to put it, 40-100sqft of mats also depending where you want to put it, and 20-40sqft of Rattle Pad to help cousin the plastic agenst the metal if you want. I used the Damplifer for the doors, I don't like using liquid for doors. Then I put a layer of Overkill in the inside of the doors, and some Rattle Pad over that. I did all the plastic with Damplifer/Dynamat Extream, and then put Rattle Pad on it. After that I used the rest of the Overkill for the floor. alot of people say to cover up the large openings in the inner door skin it helps alot. never did that but i will on my truck.

Wow man, nice work. Did all the interior go back in and fit witth no problems?

But I have heard that peel and seal melts under really hot weather, I live in south florida, so everyone has told me not to use peal n seal.

Dont know the prices of second skin mat, sludge, or spectrum becuase of discounts.

Will 120 sq ft of edead v1 and 1 gallon of v3 be enough for the roof floor sides and doors??? I cant spend over 200, thats my problem....

What do you recommend??
