I am looking at deadening the front doors of the Dodge. I need enough material to do the inside of the door, as well as the...part closest to the door cover, that the speaker is actually mounted in.

I hate sounding dumb. LOL. But that's what I need.

i bought a rol of fatmat 2 yrs ago and did my doors and floor, its like 125 shipped for 100 sq. ft.

people complain about it falling off but ive never had problems in 2 yrs.

My whole interior was done hence the 400tft of it. I would recommend the doors and door panels first, followed my the roof, back wall (for a truck) and the floor last. although I have superb luck having everyting done, i would have been abe to get away with one layer on my floor unlike the 2 i put down. All of the products listed are good products no doubt. I like Second Skin for the HEAVY foil backing and thickness.

Is that most of the complaints, that it falls off? That would be a concern for me, cause I see the odd gravel road. LOL.

i only hear that when people but it on roofs in multiple layers, its asphalt i believe and the butyl is more expensive but imo the fatmat is cost effective for big areas.

I think I will only do the doors in my truck. I don't know much about the stuff, but I don't see a need to do the rest of the truck. I want to do the doors to make the 6.5's do what they are capable of.

Is the Butyl easier to work with than the asphalt stuff? Is there any other advantage to spending twice the money on the same amount of stuff?

If not, I think I would put on a layer of Fatmat. If I think it needs more I would put on some roller stuff.
