Here is the deal, When the car is on there is sound coming from the sub when the volume is all the way down. The amp is about a year old along with the sub. I dont think the amp or sub are mest up i think it is more of a wireing issue unless my head units messing up again because i had already took it to best buy for repair and according to them the RCA jacks on the back of the head unit for the sub was mest up or somthing. The ground to the amp is on a good place where there is contact to the metal from the seat bolt. Can anyone tell me from the top of their head what they think can be the issue or what normally causes the sound. it also does it when the car is off. The wirering hassnt been touched for about six months and i have this problom accuring now

i think its the ground, i had that problem to, some one told me it was either cheap rca wires or my ground is inefficient, either too small or in the wrong place.

eliminator the source, unplug the rcas from the deck and see if the noise is still there with no rcas in the deck, if itigoes away its the deck, if not unplug the rcas from the amp, if it goes away its the rcas, if not unplug the rcas from the amp, if when turned back on the noise is still there its the amp or amp wiring. always turn the amp off when plugging or unpluggin RCa's

I tried unplugging the rcas from the head unit and the sound went away. About grounding the RCA's, I didnt have to do that fom the begining when i had it installed for the first time it went good and smooth with no wired sounds.

Had the EXACT same problem. You need to ground your RCA's. Pioneer's have a pico fuse which is very sensitive from what ive heard and when they blow, it causes things like that to happen.

so the pico fuse is the problom... When i had to the sterio to service they had said that if i had a other problom they were going to swap out the stereo and give me a newer model one. So i think im going to take advantage of that

pioneer makes shitty headunits! they fuse the ground on the rca's so if they get unplugged and plugged back in out goes the fuse. so it searches for a ground and normally finds a weak 1 in the antenna.

i refuse to sell pioneer anymore...
