Soooo PPI?

I keep seeing them recommended. They are pretty cheap cost wise and im curious why it is they arent trash.

Particularly ive been looking at the phantom series for a budget build for someone else. Black ice as well. Are those the only two series worth looking at or??

The ion520.4 is a good amp as well and is stupid tiny. I put one in my best friends 350z. Tfade has done a lot of testing with PPI amps. I bought an AQ120.4 and then sold it and bought the PPI BK800.4 and noticed no difference at all.

I ran/own both of the latest black ice series amps. Great choice , people bash them because made in China . However first hand experience , I have no issues with them. Plenty of power and been realiable so far

so you have used ba5000 and ba7000? i like the look of the 7000, the 5000 looks like Ruby2500 lol

Definitely the best amps you can buy for the price. Any jump in rating is going to run you $350+. If you're running nothing too crazy it will do.

I'm currently running 1 loaded Fi bl 12. Im running the BK 1800.1 which is now replaced by the BA line, maybe the BA5000 or BA7000, a little higher RMS rating but basically the same amp.

I will be buying a set of comps fairly soon and will be running an I520.4 more than likely. Or an 800.4 just because.

I bought the ba5000 when it first came out for stupid cheap, then they upped the price. I also have the ba1600.4 . I'm currently putting them in my new build in my car

Yeah I really like the old bk800.4 , mainly because it had active crossovers and plenty of power

Jeff and Stang are both running a ppi 900.4, with nothing but great things to say about it. And I just ordered one yesterday. I am pairing it with my Mmats dhc1400.1 in my DD 91 F150 ....I will give it a review in a few weeks ...

I'm wondering the same thing but have heard they are prone to rfi, and my car is terrible in this regard. At least

I have been really happy with the 900.4 phantom,its been solid and puts out a lot of power and I just ordered a 1000.1 to run a 12" in my truck while I rebuild my new sub enclosure and new amp rack, I will let you know how it is.
