My plans as of now are to either run another amp or get a 4-channel so I dont have to stuff as many in the trunk. Im going to run the front stage 3-way active, tweet, midrange, midbass. Then Im going to try running the sub off of a line-out converter and control the lowpass for that with the amps crossover.

Thats the best idea Ive come up with yet. At least, to not have to spend a ton of money to get the processing.

Its pretty much either that, or ditch the midbass, or run the mid-range and tweet with the passive crossovers, run the midbass and sub active: which would **** because I would loose my ability to atentuate the driver side tweet like I need to.

Just think of it this way. Anytime, you can change any processing instantaneously, it's active. Processing before the amp is active...after the amp, before the speaker is passive.... fixed is passive.... variable is active.... electronically powered is active... doesn't require power is passive... I can go on and on....
