I almost want to just leave the extra set in there cause it looks so sweet.

If u can seal the mids furthest from you and have enough air space, then do that and use those for ur midrange. Reason for that is so the 'violent bass air*' from the midbass won't distort the midrange driver.

*Vestax would understand

And LOL @ mr. Turd. There's more sarcasm in store //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

So you think I can get away with using both 6.5 mids, one for mid-bass and one for mid-range?

Well, since you don't have a substage ATM... run 3 way active on your HU for the front stage.
1 pair of mids for midbass, one for midrange, and then tweeters for highs...

nG
I cant though right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I dont have anything to separately power the other set of mids with.

I think Im gonna run just the front set for now. Then when I can sort out the processing Ill consider moving forward.

I can't believe I missed all of this since my last post.

Do that. Dont cross it over lower than what the specs list for that speaker so high pass it all at like 50-60hz (guessing) from the HU or whatever would work. Obviously use the mid that isnt angled towards the driver as the midbass.

Make it sound the way YOU like, **** everyone else. This stereo is for you right? But it would sound a shitload better if you follow the advice given on here.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif that's awesome

I think Im gonna pull the inner set for now, and then get an h701 and do like the above ^^^

Would there be a way to use a passive crossover on the mids up front? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Without getting an h701?

Stop stop. You want to go somewhat active, then do passive for the remainder? What is your goal? Think about that and do things to achieve it. Don't get little quick fixes while saving money for the final thing. Its a waste.

-Figure out your goal

-use logic and research to figure out what parts you want/need

-ask for reviews and research it before you buy

-research and survey possible and better mounting locations available for the equipment you plan to use

-revise equipment list if something cant fit (better than to go smaller than force something you want)

PUT IT IN!

Yeah good thinking. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Now, I know why I never tried active. No doubt, I would fawk something up and not have something tunned the right way.

I would love too and could have, but now I don't even have the equipment to do so, nor the money to try.

I am satisfied enough for now. If I do get back to it, I will hit up someone on here that knows what they are doing to help me out.

Well, after being pissed off over my complete failure at life I have came to a conclusion.

After playing some test tracks it is waaayyy clear to my what happens when a pair of speakers is out of phase.

So, with that said, Im gonna pull the inner set when I get home. Then Im gonna make a little insert with a logo to cover up the spot.

Might end up glassing the back side of the panel and sealing off the front mids (still undecided) and Im gonna keep the other set around as a spare.

150wrms or more on tap for them now. Good thing Ill have a spare.

-Hopefully I can make a nice little logo insert that will look good, the doors are just so astetically pleasing to me it just sucks to have to tear them apart. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
