Soo much power goin to wasted?! question please

Hey guys, so im kinda confused because i have 2 kicker dcvr122 in a ported box wired at 2 ohms in total pushing 800 rms and 1600 max watts

I also have a 4000 watt power acoustick amp pushing them at "1700" rms at 2 omhs (sorry i dont have link for some reason its uncontinued now... maybe that means its a *** amp...)

so im just wondering what im doing wrong because my amps at about 90% and my head unit is at 30/35 in order to put out the right amout of power being 800 watts rms or around 40 volts? help plz.! Am i retarded or do i need a new amp or both?

One more thing i plan on getting these new subs the 12inch quantum audio.
