soo i want a crapton of SPL

93 thunderbird, sub and amp in trunk, trunk is very deep, 4gauge power and ground, fosgate RCAs and remote wire, stock alt but runs fine. i dont really have enough for another amp and another sub and a box built for 2. just wonderin if i should hit up a tuned box, or a diff sub and tuned box. this is more of a contemplation thread. im not going to buy it right now and i dont need it right now, just thinking about upgrading sometime and was lookin for suggestions.

I had a 92 T-Bird with a DD 9512e and BD1500 and it was extremely loud in a box tuned quite low... the front windshield would move ALOT... and it sounded awesome.

tune a box to low-mid 30's and beware! BTW the box I had was ~4.5ft^3 with 70sq in of port for a SINGLE 12, a bit overkill but it was loud and sounded good (odd huh)

yeah i already stated that i wanted a box tuned low. reason being, because people here say that they perform better tuned low.
depends what you deem as performance. does loud=performance to you? generally the lower the tuning the harder it is to get louder. Most of the SPL guys tuned 40-50 htz region. Most sound quality people are like 28-35 htz region. Also has a lot to do with the vehicle.

hmm well in the T-bird it already shakes the mirror really bad and stuff, it just doesn seem like.. ear pressure changing crazy and stuff. oh well. i guess ill just figure it out when im actually ready.
