Sony HU and an ipod

Its really hard to connect an ipod to a sony headunit. but after hours of research i bought peripherals ipod2car. it works great for me, a few minor problems, but nothing major. the only thing i would like to fix is that my hu wont display artist and song name at the same time. this is a stupid mistake on sonys part. if it werent for this my setup would be almost perfect. so im trying to find out if there is anything i can do to get my hu to show artist and song name at the same time.

heres what the hu does do. it shows artist by itself. after pressing display, it shows song name by itself. after pressing display it shows track information. there is also an image button that changes the picture on the hu. one of the pictures is a blank screen that has the artist and track information. after pressing display on this image it shows the song name and track information. Just NOT artist and song! I was wondering if i could trick the hu into thining the song name is the track info. that would solve my problem.
