Sony Head Unit Works, and then it does not..

Hey guys,

So I put a Sony MEX-N4280BT into my truck 2 days ago. I have an 05 Silverado that has a Bose system so I had to find a harness that let me keep my SWC and that would work with everything. The harness I picked up was an RP5-GM11 harness. I had wired everything up and plugged it into my truck and then into my head unit and everything powered up great. My steering wheel controls didn’t work but I figured I would mess with that another day.

So I had turned my truck on and off again to make sure it worked. I did this like 3 times and once I put the dash back on, I turned the truck back on and there was no sound. So I thought I maybe knocked something loose putting the dash back. So I unplugged and replugged in the connections to the radio. Then it worked once more.

Same thing, I stopped for gas after making sure it worked a few times. Went to turn my truck back on and no sound. I’m not sure why but my radio displays everything on the screen like it is playing music, except there is no sound coming out of the speakers. No static or anything.

Suggestions?

Update - I got the sound to work. Just have to click the OnStar button and then turn it off and my speakers come on...Not sure why.
Did you let the pac module program its self to your onstar?
If not then it is causing the module to load when onstar is pressed since it retains onstar.

Not really sure what you mean here. How would I let the module program itself to my OnStar?

After watching a video, I notice that I did accidentally hook up both the 3.5mm jack for SWC and the Blue/Yellow Wire. So I am going to take out the Blue/Yellow wire and see what happens.

The pac module programs its self to the onstar on first turn on
