sony head unit, keeps skiping some tracks

hi there i have a sony head unit and i always burn new cd, and it keeps skippin the tracks, i have cleaned the unit, with a cd cleaner..

sometimes it cuts my to 12" subz out, i thought it mite be the bass traveling from the back of the boot to the front of the head unit.

i had the same problem with my stock HU.

when ever i burn cds, it would skip.

i changed the brand of the cds and changed the cd burning program.

works better.

sony sucks anyways. try using better cdr's. dont buy the cheapest ones they will usually have problems. also what cd burning program are you using. i like ahead nero

Bandwagon eh? Sony receivers are usually good, it's just their other hisza that's not.

Check and make sure that the format you are burning those songs in is readable by the head unit, that is a big problem, people burn WMA and MP3 on the same disc and some units cannot read both. The reason it would work better with another program is most likely because that program would change all the songs it could to the same format.
