Sony's Xplod range...

It's their entry-to-midlevel gear and I would suggest that you'll find it isn't terribly popular around this forum. It's not absolute crap such as Sparkomatic or something else of that ilk but for the money....there are better buys to be had elsewhere.

all i can tell you is the xplod subs are trash...i have 1 12"...my other 10's have the same RMS and has a greater xmax...and sound better...same goes for my other 12" which is a blask king...made for Pro use, it has the same RMS and a little more Xmax...and a larger voice coil...

and the xplod costs more than my other 12" or my 10"

well as the above poster said...they arent ABSOLUTE crap....but i would get many things other than the xplod for the price

head units are ok.... never had an amp or the subs tho. ive heard the subs and they get kinda loud and sound like a really wet fart. so yea better buys can be made

ghey, garbage, junk, and shit- these are the adjectives that most accurately descibe Sony Xplode gear.

their ok, but not considered "good" in my book. if its free, ill take. its equipment i wouldnt pay a quarter of the original price for though. you have much better options

Their amps are OK, Speakers ****, Subs ****, and I would never buy any of their headunits other then the CDX-F7715X which kicks *** for the price. I recommend it highly. Just buy speakers and amps from a different brand to go with it...

Profile for amps- solid for the $$$, check: http://www.profilecaraudio.com/amplifiers.htm they have some smokin deals on factory refurbs with warranty. As for speakers/subs, you got to give a price range to work with.

my headunit that was a sony xplod went out after 2 months and still dont know why but yah sony isnt my number one choice..

I just got ride of my sony xplod cd player and it was okay for the time this week i just aquried a alpine unit cda-7892 and its such an improvment. I never thought a head unit could make such a difference in sound but it does night and day. Stay away from sony

i've got the HU and i really do love it, ease of use is amazing and its got some pretty nifty features as well... definatly doing a good job of holding me out untill i can get something nicer
