sony cdx-f7000 with XM problem

hi all. just wondering if anyone here has heard about/had problems with this setup..

i'm running the cdx-f7000 with the XM universal tuner (terk) and a sony adapter (terk)

the issue i got is this. i can set up all my EQ settings when XM is selected as source. Everything sounds good. Then if i change source to either CD or Tuner, and then change back to XM, all my EQ settings (EQ7, DSO, bass, treble) are all in their default state. i switch back to CD or Tuner and the eq settings are there just like i set them up. I go back to XM and its back to default.

called sony and they said "thats how the units works" i dont buy that shit. anyone heard anything about this ?

Apparently, "that's how the unit works". Although, it's a very stupid idea if indeed that is how it works.

heh yeah. i hope some design engineer dope gets fired for this....this ruined an otherwise kickass unit.

theyre dumb there at sony. i couldnt understand a word of what the techs were telling me. i think theyre in india or something...cant speak english AT ALL. all they do is search a FAQ and read from there....they dont know shit about the units theyre selling...so lame!
