SonoSUB..good idea or no?

alright I'm deff going to make one of these probably for the maw-15 now. Now I nedd some HT people to answer my questions. I have a tv in my room and want to have surround sound, I think I need a 5.1 or 7.1 surround package with a reciever. So say I buy a package on ebay but don't want to use the subwoofer they provide and use this sonosub. How would I go about doing this the cheapest way and what surround sound sets on ebay are good (links would be very helpful). Thankz!

Never ran any of that stuff, so can't make recommendations. Just make sure the included receiver has a sub out RCA to connect to your sub amp. Many of the all in one systems don't have one...

What's your budget as there's some solid HTIB sets out there?

I'm looking to spend 200-300 on the reciever and speakers and then add the maw-15 with a plate amp.

All I can say is DO NOT buy one of the stereo-in-a-box packages. They are poo.

Concentrate most of your funds on the amp since everything is flowing through it. Decent mains and rears can be had for cheap these days.

Sonosubs are great for HT. You can be up and running in a day.
