ok ill just stay with the rectangle port at 30-35 hz. anything lower than 30 isnt that good right? cause then it will rip the box apart correct? i dont where but i read something that said that.

No, that's false. You can tune a box to whatever frequency you want, you just have to make sure it's within the capabilities of the sub itself.

Ported or sealed..Whats the sound difference?

^usually ported is geared more for spl(sound pressure level...loud) and sealed for sq(sound quality) and sealed usually takes up less space if you dont got alot of room to work with.

well ported you feel it in the car and around the immediate perimiter of the car with sealed. if you drove into a parking lot next to a store you would see the windows on the store flexing but not feel it as much in the car .

I have a single cab truck..So loud isnt what I need, SQ is. Anythign decent will be loud enough in it.

isnt that true tho? with sealed you here it from farther away and not as much in the car

with ported you fell it more and it is much louder in closer proximity.

Nope. Not true at all. It's possible for a sealed system to be louder inside the vehicle than a ported and vice-versa.

I dont have time to get into it all right now.... BUT, you cant say sealed is for X while ported is for Y. there are ALOT of variables, both can sound awsome, and both can be loud, its all in the desighn and the match to the rest of the gear.
