It moves maybe 1" or so at tuning. I'm having hell on this calculator trying to get this thing right. I do 30hz tuning, but the box is either way too small or too big. I'm using the RE calculator

1" peak to peak? or one way? If it's anywhere remotely near bottoming out or if its almost reaching xmax at tuning, definitely dont increase net volume until you know how much the increased port area is going to drop excursion at tuning (by trying it)

I'd try just increasing port area, dropping tuning, keeping box size the same

the re calc doesn't give you anything, it just tells you what the result of what you input is. its good for getting an idea of how much space and how much port you can use in that space, etc but its not always exact, and doesn't take woofer displacement into account

i think you're using it wrong though
