sonic electronix sucks!!!

ok, so I bought a kenwood KDC-X790 off them, and it turns out that it is defective. So I requested to have it exchanged, and they said that I have to ship it back and pay for all of the shipping costs. I also payed $70 to get it installed, so I wouldve like to kept the wiring harness. BUT they said that they have no more and have to ship it out to be repaired, and that they would need the wiring harness also. They also said that it would take up to a month to get back. so in the end, I just said screw you, I paid for a new cd player, not a repaired aka refurbished one. So I asked for a refund.

Same thing happened to my friends amp. Sonic isnt authourized for anything so they cant offer a manufacturers warranty.
actually, Nate, the owner, is authorized through most, he is with us for sure, and does an outstanding job.

Poster: I say call up, ask for Nate, he's the owner, and really cool...he may have some lazy, shady guys working for him. But if he knows your upset, he'll make it right....

 
so, I just read the warranty policy, and they dont give refunds, only repair services. so that means that could intentionally sell B-stck or w/e equipment on purpose, and make a huge profit, since they dont have to give refunds, unless it has a manufacturers warranty, which many do not. They do not give out replacements for almost every major brand of cd players, such as alpine or kenwood or pioneer. Only repair services. I find that kind of messed up.

 
well, some just told me that when they tried to get a refund, but they refused, but when he called like a week later, someone else was on the phone and they said that they would refund him. so idk........

 
As tracy said, I have done business with Nate before, and he's a great guy. Just call and ask for him, he will def make it right, and if they sell refurbed, they make sure its stated in the add. With electronics brother, anything can happen. I build circuit boards for a living, and repair ones, that are defective, and just the least little thing off of a board can cause catastrophic failure, now I dont know what other electronic companies do, but we test each individual board, before its shipped(they are usually in a panel of 5-20 boards) and if it does not pass, I have to go under the microscope and figure out where the problem is, based on what it failed for. Like we said though, before getting really pissed and bent, just call nate, heck he might give you a small credit or free shipping for the next order you do, he always makes it right.
