Man....i'm pissed off right now!!! Not too many people know this but on top of my full time job, i've been moonlighting as an installer. Alot of my friends and what not have seen my install and boxes and liked what they see. So to save themselves from paying the high shop prices around here, they've been coming to me lately. Well, as a favor to one of my best friends, i decided to help one of his co-workers out. We sat down first and decided what he was looking out of his music and decided on some equipment. He wanted to stick mostly to brands that he has heard of. He really was juiced up on JL but could not afford it so we found some other stuff that he liked. We agreed on all the equipment and he gave me 50% of the money up front and said he would give me the other 50% when the job was done. So i ordered the equipment, which i actually had to come out of pocket for one amp. Well i got the amp today and i ordered the Diamond Audio 3600.1 and they sent me the brand new 3800.1 instead. I called and told him the deal and now he's refusing to allow me to install the amp because "someone told him" that the extra 100 watts would be too much for his sub, which is the new 10" W3V3 which has a thermal rating of 300 watts. I've tried explaining that the sub can take it but he is insisting that i broke the contract by not getting exactly what i agreed to get. What a FUUUcktard. Well i called my dude and told him that if his co-worker doesn't pay that its coming out of his pocket instead since it was a "favor" to begin with and now he's all pisssy with me. We have a written contract with an equipment list so i guess if it went to court i would lose. Fuuuuck this dude, i'm taking his car back with half an install in it.

Always get a deposit. I learned that. Sell the stuff seems like the only option. You got the deposit on the install but not the equipment right? I guess he did kinda screw you. If I am reading correctly. OK the money from one amp came out of your pocket.

Can I see,as far as I know they dont make a 3800.1 only a 3600.1...

But they kid is a dope,more power is better if in fact you do have a 3800.1

If maybe you could send the amp back and get the 3600.1 maybe you would win. If you try to correct the problem, he might not win the case. Have you offered to send it back in yet?

The other thing is he probly had buyer's remorse and was lookin for a way out of it. And whoever the person is telling him it wont take it is eggin it on.

I am positive its the same amp as the 600 , but you have half his deposit

Oh yeah, it seems like a done deal then. DO what you said and take everything out, give him his money back and wash your hands of it. haha.
