Sometimes, I hate helpers.

Threw a bearing half hour after I bought it. Back to circular saw.
That sucks, man. You're a criminal mastermind behind that circular saw, though.

You mind what kind it was?

I was thinking of grabbing a cheap $100 dollar table saw, making a longer table for it (forgot what they were called, part where the wood actually lays on), and calling it a day. Just don't know if it's strong enough to rip through 3/4"-1" MDF. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Wow, man. That's wretched. My brother tried to insist that I cut the wires before I mounted the amps. Then, he insisted I cut the wires for the doors/tweeters to the point where you can barely pull the door panel off / speaker out.

P.S. Pictures are coming up later, I forgot.

Usually I don't mind when people watch me, but I do my best work alone. When I have people around me when I'm working, especially more than 1, I get distracted.
I mean, it kinda bugs me when the owner is watching me. 'cause they tend to instinctively twitch everytime you hear a snap... when it's just some holders popping off like they're supposed to.

But when people are just watching, it's cool. I don't mind talking while I work, I actually enjoy it. Takes my mind off the numbing pain in my fingers from all that **** sharp metal.

Teach the helper what you are trying to do before each step.

Maybe they are just dense though.

Also, hang a dry erase board in your garage and some colored

dry erase markers. Make the dude a basic drawing of what's got to

happen.

I mean, I told him what to do, but I guess I assumed he knew to take the negative out and triple check when putting in wires.

never let any one touch wires or anything just have them help on getting stuff .
ya thats kinda what i have my brother do had him help me get the box in the trunk than i ran the wires for the amp. had him hold them amp while i mounted it. had him get my all the screws and tools. even the DMM to set my gain lol. he did not like that job.

helpers are good for getting tools and thats about it lol

Not from just car audio, but doign other mods to my car, when I have people help me out with something, I end up redoing it.

Me backthepack and another kid always get together when doing installs to make it speedy. all on the same install level give or take, and all have differnt tools. I dont like installing to much by myself.

I usually have a friend or two help me or I help them with installs. Haven't had anything like that happen to date yet. Most of my friends are pretty knowledgeable in car audio.

I usually just have them hand me stuff or hold stuff in place while doings something. I try to explain everything to them so they will know what to do in the future...but its more of a showing and explaining then letting them get too hands on.
