My thing is why should we help them what has any of those places done for us. Because less than one percent of the population is fighting you assume its the whole country killing each other? Do you really think that poverty in the United States will ever be completely eliminated? The problems that poor Americans face do not even begin to compare with those of poor Sudanese, Somalians, or Zimbabweans. Many of the dictatorships and civil conflicts in these areas can be directly attributed to the aftereffects of 18th and 19th century colonialism.

What do you mean by "we." Almost every agency mentioned in the original post is European, private, or part of the UN. If by 'we' you mean the US, then maybe we have a moral obligation to help because we are 5% of the global population and hold 25% of the global wealth?

I am calling out you idiots that are accusing me of SPAM. Look at my history on this forum. I don't post spam. I work in the international humanitarian sector and have colleagues working in fuked up places all over the world.

All Bashir has to do to avoid arrest is stay in his own country, so i dont really see how this warrant is helpful to the Sudanese people....

I had dinner with my mom tonight and she kept sobbing about this part of the email.

It feels like being in the middle of a historical event. This is big, it is important, but when I check the news pages of course I see that noone really cares. It shouldn’t surprise me, but it still makes me angry.
