i know i just made a thread, but i just realized that if i turn the gain all the way up, or down, the output voltage stays the same...this isnt normal is it?

What amp is it? I had this problem with my orion HCCA-D2400, no matter where I turned the gain it read 9 volts. I sent it in to be fixed and they returned it saying nothing was wrong with it but it worked. I have a feeling they fixed it for free because I got one of the ones from HCCAFan.

check the gain setting... make sure its set to master not copy

oh yeah some of them bass remotes control gain too.. if you have one disconnect it

you were checking the output with AC volts right? not DC???
