Some bad news from a friend

Well, I got a call from my best friend tonight. He has been having a few problems, head aches, drinking lots of water, peeing a lot, and puking once in awhile. Well, it turns out he has a brain tumor. It is pressing against his pituitary from what he said. It sounds like he will be fine, but obviously theres no guarantee. This tumor has also caused him to have a form of Diabetes, which is the source of his drinking and peeing. It sucks, cuz I'm so far away I can't actually see him or anything. Anyway, I've been having a tough semester, and this added stress means I'm dropping a class. Not a vital one, but it should make the semester easier. ANyway, please pray for him.

I remember when I found out I was diabetic, same thing peeing alot and drinking mass amount of liquids. I didnt pay attention till I lost my vision. I finally went to the doctor and he told me I was about a day from going into a diabetic seizure. My sugar level was at 496. I almost died, now I take care of myself. Hope things are alright for your friend...

These tumors are not too uncommon, and usually fairly easily treated, too. Some don't even require surgery. Don't worry about your friend, he will probably be just fine.

Exactly. There will be no surgery, being treated with radiation. Its still scary though, especially since my brother's best friend died this past May. Just curious, are you a doctor, my guess is yes by seeing your user name and how you knew what it was.
