so if i wire my dvc 4 ohm solobarics (two of them) everything in series, ill get 16 ohms and at 120 volts that comes to 900 watts each right? just want to make sure before i do this crazy shit.

an amp in a car would be sending it more amps than 7.5 wouldnt it? its a lower voltage right, so it needs more amps to get the same power?

ive seen the 8s take more than 2k a peice. yours will be fine. However this was in an enclosure.

Free air and an enclosure might yeild different results.

Inhumanacura plugged an 8" fosgate punch Z 8 ohm sub into the light socket while i recorded it. It took 3 times to blow the sub, and it stayed plugged in for a good 5 seconds each time. It was surprising that it lasted that long. The sub got finished off with a boot in its ***.

I sent my 15" L5's 2000+ watts each last year ... handled it like a champ, didn't die. Keep in mind they were in an enclosure.

how do you guys plug it into the wall, and what kind of sound does the sub make being pluged in, i would assume a hum or just a burp, what is it?

yea i plan on having them in an enclosure. ill put the caps in the ports so they handle more. i didnt know you had L5's steve
