on the site they say its equally as efficient either way. if it is ill attempt to build my own sealed box for 2 15s. if not ... ill just give jmac a PM and home depot a visit for ported stuffs

other than the backwave effect of sealed and more accurate near the tune of ported ..... will the SPL/SQ be the same?

A driver will not negate the effects a ported enclosure has over a sealed enclosure, or vice versa. Assuming its made to run in either enclosure type, the ported enclosure will still have more output at and near its tuning freq. 'Equally efficient' sounds like marketing speak to me, as that could be said with many different criteria.
