solo x sealed?

Has anybody seen or heard a sealed solox(preferably the 12) I have one that is goin in my truck and cant decide if ill have enough airspace to run it ported, and looking on kickers site it says u can have it sealed anywhere from 1.5 to 3 cu. ft., this isnt anverage box, itll be a fiberglass center console box goin in a single cab dodge, Any comments or input is appreciated

holy shit man is that the solo x i sold you a long time ago? you never installed that yet?? sorry i always had mine ported , but i guess it would still get loud and low sealed, just not as loud or low

IMO, it'd be a waste to seal a Solo X. If you don't have the space to port it, sell it and get something else. Again, that's just my opinion.

yea thats the one u sold me i had it in my car for awhile in a ported box but sold the car, the box would be too big for my new truck, i know it could be ported jus wanted to see wat everyone thoughts were if it was sealed

my buddy has one in his regular cab chevy, its inverted and ported, i would invert it but im kinda worried bout the box flexin or even breakin since the sub is so heavy

Agreed! I have one in my civic sealed in a new box @ 3.8 sealed, I wanted to try it for the heck of it! and it just blows. All of the squares sound way better ported! Trust me.

the nice thing about the solobarics is that they're so stiff that you can put them in HUGE sealed boxes, so you can get flat response through the entire useable freq. range of the speaker, but honestly, if you're gonna make a big enough box to get flat sealed response that low, you could have flat response that low with a ported box with a bit more output.........

You know the convo is over the SOLO X not the L7, L5 or other solobaric sub.

i got it figured out, my buddy gave me the guys name who built his box so im gonna talk to him to see wat i can work out
