I've never heard it play and I am about to buy one. Can anyone give some insite to me about the sub i have no idea about it but was told it was a great sub with high db rating.

Don't buy it just yet. You need to do a lot of research before you go and drop a bunch of money on a new system. There is a lot more to upgrading than you think. Based on your "Best Sub" thread, you have much to learn

It will only be loud if you know how to make it loud.

Very true. To get things started, you need to answer a few questions

-What kind of system are you looking to build (SQ or SPL or a mixture)

-How much money can you spend

-How much space do you have

-What kind of music do you listen to

-Can you install everything yourself (including building the enclosure)

After you answer these questions, we can be of more help.

You may want to start with a more beginner friendly setup before you move into getting a solo-x. No offense, but it seems as if you have a lot to learn and don't understand what it takes to do this setup properly. However, this is just my advice.

when i was just getting big into car audio when i didnt know much, i jumped on a local bnib solox 12 for sale..had no idea what i was getting into. do much research.

i did a crappy install, with crappy equipment, almost no knowledge. and what i got was crap. sold it off, did alittle homework, bought some MTs and all was insane.

do research first.

to do list:

get sub

get amp(s)

do MANY electrical upgrades, to ensure a stable system with constant power

wiring how-to's

install how-to's

enclosure how-to's (and build tips)
