well i sold my l7's, box, and amp for 800, need build ideas, more or less subs...thinking 2 cd omegas, 2 hdc3's so far...need suggestions in that price range...both subs for under 800, goals: street beat with some comps lower tuning in the mid-upper 30's range going in a 4dr civic might do a wall but havent decided, deff 2 15's though...

So? A properly designed box is a properly designed box.

Edit: Yeah, I would recommend the CD Omegas. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif You won't be disappointed, especially if you can get the power to them. Need about 2kW-2.5kW each last I remembered. Great daily subs.

i have heard them in a few setups and they do sound nice, but the downside is that it will eat up most of my money for 2 15's, meaning the system will take longer to complete, im wondering if its worth it...

eh, sometimes it takes a while to build a system.

in the end, its *some of the time* worth it.

grab them omegas, you'll be happy.

I like the HDC's and I'm sure they're cheaper. You can hear mine Sunday at the Kenosha show if you go...

run the sub in my sig, put 3-4k to it, in 5ft^3 tuned @ 30 hz, with a port plug @ 42hz (for comps),, beef up your electrical and call it a day

not sure i have enough room for an 18, maybe in a wall but that would be kind of pointless...

You would use the port plug for the daily 30hz tune, not the 42hz.

Do two 15" HDC3s then. Wall and tune to 38hz. Will bang on the lows but do great at the comps. Or do interchangeable ports. For power you will need a solid 3k+.

sounds like a plan...will need help on the wall but there are quite a few guys who know their stuff in my area...i'll probably go with 4k if they can take it
