Soft Bass?

yea, y not a set of 8s, that should do wha u need. IDQ also, i loved the sound when i had it, but im not a sq person, i need loud while still sounding good. i say some 8s or the 10IDQ

Midbass my friend. A set of mid bass drivers would yield the sound you are looking for.

He's confusing isn't he? I was thinking this as well, but he also mentions "like a HT sub." When I think of "HT sub," I think lowend monster and subsonic *****. Who knows.

When he described the bass he doesn't want as raspy and hard, I figured he was suffering from a high Qts system.

I guess I see things the other way around, where bass should be more on the low/soft side and midbass should be more on the hard/punchy side.
