Does anyone know anything about SOAT amps? I have one and was curious about the company and quality ....
yeah thats the one ...it an American Flag design on the Circuit Board and says twister....It was painted a crappy flat black on the outside...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif but I can tell in places it use to be greyI remember them from the 90's as well. Do they have "Twister" on the heatsink?
being painted over I can't tell...Its a 4ch I'm pretty sure...Its at my amp repair guy being checked out...the terminal looked bad ...I haven't tested it yet....I wanna say it was about 18" long by maybe 12" without being in hand I don't quite rememberI've got the Car audio and Electronics 1995 buyers guide with them in it. I'll try to find it. what's the model number?
the amp is at my repair guy getting the terminals looked at,,,it will most likely be middle of Jan before I get it back they are closed to after the firstWhy wouldn't you post pics..
From the Car Audio 1998 directory
SOAT
1155 W. 76th Ave
Miami, Fl.
Biggest 4ch that year was model SAC4.4X, 100w x 4 @ 4ohms
Stable to 2ohms
Size: 2"H x 11"W x 15"L
looking at the size of it,,,I'd guess it was about 4x50 ,,,I need to bring out my old school buyers guides and research it when I get it back....When I have the exact measurements I should be able to cross refrence it...if its listed...When I saw the unique looking circuit board at the repair shop I was curious...I think it would look pretty nice under plexi or lexan...The case is really ugly now that someone painted it...I'm gonna make an attempt to clean the paint off with Goof Off or something when I get it back also...The Twister series were out before 1995. The SAC series was their higher end line and was also the company's last line. I belive the The OP may have an SA4200. (50 x 4)
That series of amps were fairly clean sounding and offered basic sound processing (low and high pass crossovers).
