I have a Hifonics Brutus 1610D amplfiier, and I will be getting a Fi Q15" without the bp option and it will be a dual 2-ohm so how do i wire it to this amp, should i just wire the coils together and get 1 ohm and be very careful with my gains or should I wire one voicecoil to each channel on the amp and then have the proper rms wattage, because this amp is 1100rms at 2-ohm and 1600rms at 1-ohm, please help.

ok, its just that I have read, if you don't have the bp option they can't handle more than 1000rms at all. I like to drive me speakers as hard as they can go without distorting, so I just don't want to wreck it, it is used so there is no warranty.

it will easily do 1600 rms all day long you can only wire the sub at 1 or 4 ohms

just be nice with the gain and you will be fine at 1 ohm.

if you can, use the rms chart and set the gain that way on a 50hz tone to 31-32 volts A/C on the speaker output terminals and u will be right at 1000 rms.
