So which drugs are the most addivtive

no im just saying im additted to weed and im smart and not gay. I cant sleep without weed too, with it ill just pass out, without it ill lay there wide awake till about 3 and wake up at 6, so weed helps me sleep too, its more like a medicine to me.

weed needs to be legal, sell it in a thc beverage and there is no harm from the drug, you get high, cant overdose(actually you can, but the worst is that youll fall asleep lol) and no **** tar in the lungs. If it was legal then the users would turn to buying it in a beverage form, thats what I prefer, regardless of the time it takes to get you high.

Well. Any dollar that is spent on marijuana is not spent on a taxable consumer good.Loss of productivity
you are not getting any money from it now anyway...you are only wasting the very tax dollars you got on imprisoning those who decide to smoke.

in my eyes:

marijuana illegality = no tax benefits, wasted money on locking up non violent people

marijuana legality = no tax benefits, yet no wasted money on locking up non violent people

i fail to see a negative by making it legal. for some reason people believe that once its legal, people will spend every penny they work for on marijuana instead of the normal shit they have to buy anyways. people are going to be spending money on marijuana regardless of its legal status just as they are now.

and secondly, do you really have to **** me for every single penny im worth? have you no shame?

We are not getting tax dollars from people working under the table, but we try to limit that as well.

When you say make it legal, what rules would you impose? Could one drive high? Is there a mechanism to tell exactly how high a person is?

I don't care what you spend your money on as long as you pay your fair share of taxes.

1) what is the point of trying to stop something you cant control? i see it as a loss of efficiency and a waste of money

2) would i say its ok to drive high? no. is there some type of device to tell exactly how high a person is? i dont know...there probably wont be any research done on a way to do this until it becomes an issue (in a legal sense). hell, prohibition ended in 1933, yet the breathalyser wasn't invented until 1954. is it even an issue (in a safety sense)? do people get pulled over for driving high because they are showing signs of impairment in their vehicle operation? i dont know, but i would love to see honest statistics.

3) then tax the seeds? different marijuana strains' seeds are sold from anywhere from $20 a pack up to $300 a pack (usually 10 seeds a pack). people would jump at the idea that they can finally buy seeds from a local vender, to finally break away from the black market dealers and grow marijuana for their own personal use, much like the people who grow vegetables etc. the vast majority of growers, dont grow for profit, but rather for personal use. hell these people are buying 600w lights, for $500 a pop, spending money on electricity, water, fertilizers, natural pesticides, grow mediums, etc every month. all things that are being taxed.

i have done coke, weed, x ,pain killers, anti depressants, alcohol, nicotine, and of course caffine, aderol.... pretty much everything except pcp, herione, acid, and meth from what i can think of. This is mainstream of course because i have never messed with inhalants and other chemicals that will mess you up.(listed on erowid.com)

I am "addicted" to nicotine, or it is an everyday habbit rather. I also smoke weed about everyday, only because i cant find a reason to quit while i am in highschool and probably college because it doesnt seem to make me loose focus or not be able to do well academically. I will quit smoking weed when i get a steady career and family. I do not believe that would be tough. Nicotine will be tough, but i agree that it is mostly mental.

Cocaine is pretty addictive to a certain degree. It will have you craving the high, but i think it is very easy to realize... " Oh man i can not keep spending this money and being so out of it" I did it pretty heavily for 3 months and havnt touched it in a year.

All other drugs i have tried were not "addicting", this could be because most of the other drugs i tried were not readily available. The main thing that gets me with drugs is the money. I cant spend a lot of money for something that is gone very quickly.... the negative consequences out weight the positive effect.

Could it not be taxed in the same way that tobacco is? Whenever you by tobacco, you are paying taxes. Why not have the government regulate weed it to where the only legal distribution is a way in which can be taxed?

I have yet to see a comprehensive, economically sound, and effecient way to tax marijuana. When I see it, I will support it's legalization.
Why cant you just roll it up, package it up, and sell it like cigarettes?

people would start growing tobacco and making cigarettes if they were illegal dont you think? So marijuana is a plant like tobacco so why not roll it up and distribute from gas stations and what not?

edit: i was beat to it.
