so what is everyones volume set at?

I have to agree with a post above. MX takes away from sound quality. I play mine between 18-25 for CD/Wav and radio. For MP3s I sometimes have to go up to 26-28 (out of 35 for my Alpine HU).

Yup, MX is ghey, use the EQ and XO settings instead. Right now 24/35 is quite loud with CDs. Radio seems to be fairly quiet on mine, upwards of 28 at times.

When the install is finalized, gains will be set to clip at 31, so they will clip right when the HU clips.
