It is a sad fact that in this society if a celebrity or person of great wealth (recently, for example, sean taylor but just to prove my point people such as princess diana, etc.)
why is it that because of someone's fame, their death seems more significant than say your own mother, or my mother, or anyone for that matter?
why is it that the media puts attention on celebrities like that?
it's sad, really.
my history teacher back in highschool made a valid point, a point that i was actually awake to hear:
his point was basically that in the United States what is the majority of society/media focused on? negativity. celebrities. who paris hilton is blowing in the back of her benz. why britney got a hair cut. to contradict that he said the majority of european countries don't focus on celebrities/wealth NEARLY as much as americans/american media. is this true? i dont know but
and for example this sean taylor thing is going to linger in the news for DAYS. how come my grandmother couldn't make front page cnn news when she died? cause she didn't play ****ing football? give me a break.
we're all human, we're all equal.
