So, new box in the works for HDS312's

Just pulled the trigger on the soundcubed's.

Which is the best way to orient them in an extended cab ranger? Id like to have them facing up. thoughts?

I plan on doing a slot port on an end since its probably with in the limits of my abilities unless someone can convince me other wise. I am pretty good at woodworking but by no means professional. Any thoughts on birch, vs mdf vs pine? I really **** at upholstering so its gonna be painted, coated or something on this one.

ROughly the area I have in the back pending me removing the useless jump seats is 20 inches deep at the bottom, 14 inches deep at the top and 40 inches wide across. Im going to try to creat a place other than the box to mount the amps too, maybe underneath the shelf I will have to build to get it to sit properly in the back.

5 net total yes. With a wedge and to save on displacement I'd go aero ported. Any area where you can go bigger? You're at only 4.75 gross.

47x16x14x20 5 cubes net with one 8" sono/octo port @17.5" for 34hz. Or 44x16x22x14 with a side fire port to load off the side wall.

thanks for all the help stang! Got all the wood rough cut today and ended up with an 8" sonotube. My question now is on finish. I got birch, I really like the way yall's boxes look with it. Not sure how I want to finish it. If i were to stain it, I guess screws are out of the question, Id have to nail it right?
