Yea i do believe 80 is correct in what he is stating.

We ATTEMPTED to thermally kill the driver with 8kw that wasnt doing anything ( at like 48 hz i think) so we opend it up wide open 20 hertz below tuning where teh sub was unloading..

yes.. although power testing near tuning is a bit harder to do, because of the impedence spike in that range..

there were several woofers so far in testing that went above and beyond the call of duty.. some that did the duty, but complained.. and some that just didn't come close to doing what they were supposed to..

and unfortunately.. wer're still not finished with testing.. still some sealed box testing to do, which chad and I will tackle tomorrow..

I do want to go ahead and say that the Sundown Audio amps... were kick *** all weekend... they were the main power source for alot of testing, and they rode in my vehicle, and chads for SPL show today... absolutely 100% positive results so far..

we were able to put any amount of power needed to overdrive every woofer here... you just don't mess around with 8-10kw of power... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and they are still calling WV home.. for us to finish testing with.. 2 in my car, and 2 in chads.. win

judging by output during the testing from the sundowns, the 20.1 is the stronger amp....

but not by much...

2 1500's slammed teh wang in my car though.. so definite improvement over the 20.1 in that role.. as it should be
