I've decided to go with an h701 first instead of a bandpassable 4-channel amp. I'll go ahead and go active and just wait however long it takes to accrue enough $$$ to get a better 4-channel amp.
It will be at least a month until I get the processor ($ in savings account needs to get back to pre-christmas), but I'm doing some research and mapping out now while I'm waiting. I see alot of posts almost discouraging people from buying a processor because they're so terribly confusing. Are they that bad? I had an Alpine 9855 deck last year and understand slopes, & x-over points. The graphic & parametric EQ may take some time, though. One question about time correction I have though, is does this processor allow you to connect a mic to it and let it adjust automatically? I know that you can do so with the c701 controller. I like playing around with the settings on my d300, so I think this would be a good addition to my existing setup.
