So I toasted my Kv.2..

So a couple of days ago, I noticed my 16Kv.2 starting to go. I was hearing strange noises (I've always had an air leak in the box wiring terminal that was audible but not real bad) so I eased up on the gains and HU bass settings but it kept getting worse every day. It finally decided to give out today while I was waiting in the school parking lot to pick my sister up. Looks to me that they coil came off the cone. That should be covered under warranty.

Well I just got off the phone with Elemental Designs, real nice people. I had everything sorted out and ready to go in no joke, under 2 minutes. They told me it would be covered under warrenty, how to get my RMA # and return form, ect. Their customer service must have improved 10 fold since the last time all the eD bashers dealt with them because they're extremely friendly and helpful people.

Hey, sorry if you though I was bashing on eD, as I have nothing against their products, haven't ever used their products, but am tempted by their amps, and the O series..

Its just usually, when eD is mentioned on here, people get their panties in a bunch...

but I wasn't bashing on them.. sorry....

No problem. If you're considering buying one of their amps, I definately say go for it. I've got a NiNe.2 and it's been nothing short of a great amp. I wouldn't be suprised if it's pushing more than its rated RMS.

Im not surprised in the least by the customer service. Every time Ive had to deal with them, they have been great.

I have a 9.4, used to have a 9.1.....both are great amps.

Glad they got you taken care of.
