so i ran into my first snag

the amp i have doesn't seem to have inserts for the + and - big enough for 0 AWG, and thats what i planned on using, so should i splice the o AWG with like 3 inches of 4AWG and connect that the the amp? any help is appreciated
what amp and why do you want to put 1/0 into it if it doesn't require it?

1/0 into a distro, out with a 4ga?
or the reducer works too
well heres what i was thinking, i'm running the 0ga the my second battery, then it would be like a 5-6 inch run from the battery to my amp, so should i just use the 4ga from the batt to the amp?

yes. thats what you need to do. use the battery as a distro. if it only has 4ga inputs, then that should be all it needs. they wouldnt build an amp that needs 1/0 with a 4ga input

yes....i found the amp online and it does look like 4gauge input

then is my whole run of 0 AWG pointless if i'm only putting a 4AWG wire into the amp?
no...the 1/0 will allow you to get plenty of power to the rear to feed the amplifier, larger wire sizes are used to transfer more power, OR to transfer power over longer distances
