So i ordered from ONLINECARSTEREO and got upgraded??

I have never ordered from onlinecarstereo before but they were the only ones still selling the pioneer avh-p440bh and was $379. so i get my package and open it to find a pioneer avh-x5500bhs. which they are selling for $419. So from what i can see its basically the same but wondering if its the same, better, or not as good. Input from others that are familiar with these is appreciated. thanks.

yea seems very close, 5500 just has a couple newer options it seems.

i think they sold out before i ordered. guess i am lucky huh. unusual for me lol.

I got my 3200dvd from them 2 years back. At the time they had it priced lower than anybody, I then added a code to knock off another $30. Needless to say I got a smokin' deal. I failed to get a shipping within 3 days so I called up, they said they were sold out and that they might be on a truck in a couple weeks so I canceled my order. Got a call next day from a "Sup" that somehow, out of thin air found one for me. yea that was the fist time i had purchased from them. i remember reading bad experiences on here a long time ago from members buying from them. maybe they turned things around. idk.

It probably was sold out for months. Pioneer released new head units way before the other manufacturers, around the beginning of Q3 2012.

keep it. the screen alone is worth the upgrade. the 4400 has a horrible pixelated screen the newer units all have a really nice HD screen that looks amazing. i myself have the avh 8400 and i love it. i just want to get the new 8500 because of iphone 5 siri voice command integration in it

Yep the 5500 is the newer version that replaced the 4400
