right. mine still smells when i turn the subs on and its been in my car for 3 weeksi usually resin mine so it smells terrible. i let it air out for literally about 2 weeks. it takes a long time to get 0 smell from resined boxs
Generally the silicone based sealants will destroy foam surrounds. If it is just normal caulk, there usually is nothing to worry about. I still let EVERYTHING cure at least 24 hours before installing the subwoofer and playing that first bass note.well hopefully you waited a bit before using and puttin in your woofers. I've heard that the fumes can damage the surround or what not. Might be gibberish but who knows. And yea it will start to fade with time

Also, I hope the OP used something more than liquid nails to hold important joints together. I've found it real easy to disassemble enclosures held together with screws and liquid nails after pulling the screws. Titebond on the other hand, stays PUT!
