i think that's like the unwritten code of all music teachers. i started piano at 3 and violin at 6, and every teacher is like that. hell, my cousin is a piano instructor and raises her voice at my sister every now and then hahahaha.

anyone who can play piano is cool in my book. thats the one instrument i still struggle with from time to time.

don't hate, you'll realize it when u go into like hotels and malls and shit and ur like HEY! i feel like making some tips! and u start throwin it down and people are like wow, here take 10 dollars (i have never done this, but i know people that have). and brock, imo, piano is useless unless you can play by ear (hence you know what each note sounds like regardless of octave, pitch or if it is offkey), which i am not good at (this is for like music production though, u think of melodies in ur head and it's invaluable to be able to go over and play it out...this also works for other instruments)

i play every instrument by ear. ive never taken any lessons...nor can i read music.
