restaraunt work is about as underrated as it gets. especially when it comes to servers and busboys. some of you gents need to take another look at the restaraunt world. say your sales may be 1000 dollars for breakfast. on average, a server will make 17 percent of their sales. 170 dollars right there. and when it is time to clock out say again my sales are 1000 dollars. when you claim tips i claim only 10 percent of my sales, so 100 bucks. so i only claim 100 dollars of the 170 i made, so the way i look at it, i am getting "free" untaxed money in my pocket which equates to an overall higher hourly wage. math is easy, and it is quite easy to do a 1000 dollar breakfast where i work. and this is all for a shift of 8 hours or less.

i think ur saying its easy work. lol but thats not the reason i wouldnt go in it (that i think its hard) i just dont like people eating around me that i dont know. not for the fact it bugs me, but i feel like im intruding (correct word??) on their space. thats why i tend to not go to resteraunts myself. i know i can make more money in other places, but the resteraunts here are not ones around back home and im HOPING they will transfer me if i stay with them and do a real good job. whether i make a lot or not, i dont have bills or anything and by the time i DO i am hoping to be something a little higher up. its not too hard to be a manager these days from what i can tell. my brother is almost one and has been working for only a short period of time at another strore i wont mention the name of.
