so i just moved and have looked for a job....

restaraunt work is about as underrated as it gets. especially when it comes to servers and busboys. some of you gents need to take another look at the restaraunt world. say your sales may be 1000 dollars for breakfast. on average, a server will make 17 percent of their sales. 170 dollars right there. and when it is time to clock out say again my sales are 1000 dollars. when you claim tips i claim only 10 percent of my sales, so 100 bucks. so i only claim 100 dollars of the 170 i made, so the way i look at it, i am getting "free" untaxed money in my pocket which equates to an overall higher hourly wage. math is easy, and it is quite easy to do a 1000 dollar breakfast where i work. and this is all for a shift of 8 hours or less.

i think ur saying its easy work. lol but thats not the reason i wouldnt go in it (that i think its hard) i just dont like people eating around me that i dont know. not for the fact it bugs me, but i feel like im intruding (correct word??) on their space. thats why i tend to not go to resteraunts myself. i know i can make more money in other places, but the resteraunts here are not ones around back home and im HOPING they will transfer me if i stay with them and do a real good job. whether i make a lot or not, i dont have bills or anything and by the time i DO i am hoping to be something a little higher up. its not too hard to be a manager these days from what i can tell. my brother is almost one and has been working for only a short period of time at another strore i wont mention the name of.

it's not hard to become a manager. hell i ended up becoming a human resource manager and i don't know how the hell that happened.

I get paid 13.28(pay goes up every year), as an electrical apprentise right now. In 5 years I will be making 45.51, possibly even more. Wages will go up, so most likely 50$ an hour.

This is basically my career, so it doesnt apply for this really, but if you have no idea what you want to do with your life, possibly check into the electrican's field, get into a good apprentiseship program and u will be set for life, well in California at least.

BTW im 19 years old, at age 24/25 I should be making around 90k before taxes. Thats pretty **** good.

Im also going to night school.

$50 an hour, jesus christ.. hope that works out for you.
Thats what it could get up to. It could very well get up to 60+ but I doubt it, well by the time i graduate the program i doubt it.

Its fun shit, a total 360 degrees from car audio crap to REAL electronics lol.

I was pulling cable that was the size of about 8 1/0 awg wire into one lol. 3 wires of that plus some 4/0. Very fun lol.
