taking pics of my newest setup!!!!!!

I am still looking for a car so ive had this stuff sitting around for MONTHS, but as soon as I have a new car this stuff is GOING IN! I was bored before my summer class so i decided to snap some quick pics!

Itll be 2 15" TC9s from teakquakecelica, powered by an HCCA-D5000 at 2 ohms, with a redtop, some nice everlast battery i bought at autozone, and im upgrading that to a yellowtop/kinetik very soon. also plenty of 1/0 for the big 3 and wiring the babies up!

Anyways, enough talking and on to the eye ***

edit: just saw i wrote the wrong date on the paper, oh well.

and if ur wondering about a box, it is all dependant on what car I get.

nice subs, i have one of those with the alumapro dust cap. i cant wait to hear it.
yeah definitely, they are so solid and they are pretty heavy

and brand new... you cant beat it

if they sound anything like my TC9 based RL-P and my TC9 based Claw Mag, then I can not wait to hear them. and I only had 1 12" of both old setups //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

what kind of box did you put your other tc-9 based subs in? did they hit the lows well?
First I had one of those sledgehammer things, before I knew that the box mattered... that was for the rl-p. Wasn't too bad actually, got pretty loud just not really LOWWWW. It still hit low notes, just not the low low ones some people are obsessed with, and the higher notes were a lot louder.

Then I had a custom box, 2 cubes at 30 hz, which the RL-P went into. That thing was loud AND beasted the shit out of the lows. In certain songs, I dont remember which, the bass would get so low that I could barely hear it, but I could see everything in my car flexing, my windshield and dash the most.

Then I bought an old Mag V1 and put it in the same box. All I can say is that I was extremely impressed. It sounded a little better, it hit a little lower, it was just insane.

Both subs were off a PG xenon x600.1, probably only around 600 watts cuz the gain wasnt TOO high, plus my HU is 2v PO

Honestly I liked both subs a whole lot. The only thing I would change about my old systems was the box. 30 hz just is too low a tuning for rock music, with 1 12 off around 600 watts. Maybe with an 18" BTL off 3k watts, tuning at 28-30 might be pretty good for rock, but mine just wasnt enough. In the future, if I had another single 12" setup with lowish power, I would probably tune in the 34-37 range, if not higher. Now, for rap and techno, it was perfect.

I actually still have the old box, if ur interested. There are pics of it in my gallery, and the build thread is on these forums somewhere.

thanks bud, I just wish I can find an suv to put these babies in, cuz I dont wanna seal em off in some trunk car... if it comes down to that, I will though.
