i can tell you know,getting a box tuned to where you want it is difficult in a explorer.i can tell you the resonant freq is about 41 hz.

I had 4 MT 15's off 2 20.1's and two NSB90s with the vehicle not running (SM3-4 style) and could do a 156-157 on the dash. I put 18's in with the same power and was still doing a 156+.

Im not exactly of your caliber..isnt alot of it install dependant?

everybox ive tried in mine it wants to peak at between 41-44 hz,its kinda crazy,because based on isd my box now should be peaking at 55hz,but my truck dont agree.

Now that I think about it, the scores put up weren't too bad. As somebody said before, the subs weren't getting that much power to them.

I'd say screw the second MD2, get some more power. Something like 2x 2500w amps or 1x 5kw. Power is cheap nowadays. . .

I wouldnt say I'm a different caliber then anyone else. Just takes time and asking questions from other HONEST competitors and friends to get where you want. I never beat around the bush and got answers from people that think they can hang. I'll go out on a limb here and say its between 47-50Hz in an install where everything is in the cargo area and under the windowline. yeah im going to try some differnt boxes for sure. have you found sub and port to the back louder or subs up port back louder?
