PS3 just shot themselves in the foot. They are no longer offering the 80GB PS3 and have no plans of bringing out a larger one.

You should read up a bit more, if you are going to try and post something like this. You are correct that they are getting rid of the 80GB model. They are replacing it with a 120GB model. Not confirmed yet by Sony on either aspect, but the same people that reported the 40 GB and 80 GB release and end of 20 GB and 60 GB models have reported this news.

No I saw an interview with the CEO of Epic, he said that it was a waste of time because the wii just isn't worth it. They asked him if it was worth making a exclusive wii game, and he said it was a big waste of time.

And for your information, I have had my xbox for two years, no problems at all.

Didn't know we were talking about Nintendo. Yea sure nintendo might be at the top at x-mas, why? because it's geared towards younger gamers and will, in return, sell more.(not to mention it's cheaper).

I've played all three systems and enjoy all three of them. But if i were to own just one, it would be the PS3. It offers the most power, the most potential for the future. Not to mention it has Blu-Ray which will be the new format once hd-dvd is out of the picture. Each has it's own pros and cons but PS3 seems to have more pros than the rest.

you have no idea what your talking about. Microsoft didn't include HD-DVD to keep the prices down, and seeing as how they sell more 360's then PS3's any given day, I think it has worked out well for them pretty far.
It is no doubt that Microsoft had a blunder with HD-DVD, however, it isn't their fault, they should have had much better advertising and should have been very aggressive trying to get the movie companies over to their side. Don't forget that it wasn't totally Microsoft.

The PS3 obviously has more power, because of it's better internals, and the Blu-Ray is now definitely a huge plus, but the 360 has much better integration, and not to mention exclusives. GoW, Mass Effect, Halo 3 (which is not overrated...it's a great game). I'm pretty impartial, I own a 360, but have owned every companies product in the past (N64, Gamecube, Gameboy Advanced/Color, PS2, and now the 360).

The real unit that is amazing though is the Wii. I'd wish Nintendo would have given it more power though- I've read places where companies won't make games for them because the graphics are so bad it is a waste of time.

I've already stated that I have both gaming systems in my apartment. The PS3 is much more quiet, the 360 is louder than hell and annoying. Plus I said that the 360 has more games right now and of course, it's XBOX Live is better than Sony's free offering. But at the same time, I don't have the time or patience to play Halo, GOW, or Call of Duty. So why pay for it? Plus you can play Blu-Ray movies with free film updates. It's one great piece of hardware that is dirt cheap right now.

I love how retailers have reports failure rates in excess of 30% on the XBOX 360, yet people still buy it knowing they're going to have to ship it off to Microsoft and be without it for weeks, sometimes months, at a time ...

Meanwhile, the PS3 has a failure rate of less than 1% according to PC World ...

Of course, high-end PC gaming machines own them both in terms of power and graphics ...

The PS2 had alarming failure rates. People will buy what has the games.

Luckily, both my Ps2 and 360 have been fine. Oddly, it has been my past two Nintendo consoles to fail. My gamecube stopped reading discs, and the Wii destroyed its GPU*tearing and artifacting*.

Yea, the RRoD really isn't a fittting name. The 4 red lights means that the cables aren't hooked up completely, much like the red light on the original XBOX.

I got the rrod a few months ago.

Just plugged the 360 into the wall, wrapped a towel around it, let it sit for like an hour, and then it worked again for 3 more days. Just in time for my shipping box from microsoft to get it.
