So how long does DC take to get my alternator?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but it's related to electrical help. So I contacted DC power about an alternator for my accord, we chatted for a while and he gave me a price quote of $530 for my 230amp alternator. I paid on the 9th, 2009 and I have tried to contact them 2-3 times since then. No replies so far. I am thinking about filing a claim because it's taking too long and I would rather just get one from mechman.....

any suggestions for those who have dealt with DC power, his name is Rob.

it does take a while, mine took like 3 weeks to get. he is pretty busy so just try around 4-5PM Eastern

seems like he is getting busy as this isn't the first time i heard this. but his alts are great if you don't mind waiting

I waited almost 6 weeks for mine. I can say that it is a GREAT alt. If he could fix that part of the business, he would rule the alt market. Even though I waited a long *** time, I would deal with him again though, but under better terms. I would rather put like a deposit down on it and when it is done and ready to ship, pay the rest. I had 539 tied up into mine and nothing to show for it other than some good CS. I think this is more of a side hustle for Robbie. He was doing a large military order when I ordered mine a few months ago.

he told me he has the parts to built my alternator for my accord and that it's ready to go. i just paid 8 days ago and haven't heard back from him. if only he can get back to me about how it's going then i'll gladly wait.

did you guys keep in contact with him after you all paid or just waited for the alternator?

I paid and waited a week.......nothing. I called him. Was told why and was told it would be out friday or monday. Still nothing...... That went on for weeks.

He never once called me. When I was tired of the wait, I contacted a CS email on the website and I got an email within the hour from another guy. They shipped mine next day air for my troubles. So if anyone on here feels your pain, it's me. I would give it a few more days. But it would be surprising to me if he called you. best time is 5ish central time. That was when I used to call.

You could have gone with a Mechman and had it in less than a week, but the DC is gonna be great. I've owned both and they both perform well. The DC has more output at idle in my application though.

Well worth the wait. DC is far beyond Mechman so dont think about switching.

Have you tried emailing Robbie@dcpowerinc.com

Or call his cell?

call him... it took forever to get mine too but you can reach hom at the shop usually

He replys to emails pretty quickly when he's traveling.

Or you can call his cell like i said.

Believe me, 8 days is not long for DC. About 3 weeks waiting time average. Best way to contact is call the 888 number about 9 AM pacific time...

yea the dc alternator has way more output at idle and max than the mechman. of course, the dc is about $100 more expensive but worth it if i don't want to add anymore battery weigh to my car.

i'll try those emails. i contacted the CS on dc's website 3-4 days ago, but haven't heard back from them either. i'll wait a few more days for a reply before giving him a call, what's his cell?

since all of you say there's no problems except for the wait then i'll wait as well. it'll be worth it.
