1st you need to have the RCA y connector. Only use one side (either is fine) from the hu and y it at the amp input. Then set the switch to LP (low pass like u have it). The high pass dial is not functional so don't worry about that one. The other 2 are like gains. One for how much you want the signal from the hu amped, the other how much much extra low tones coming out. Since you are only using it for a sub, they will basically be the same thing. Start like this:

#1 all the way counterclockwise

#2 LP

#3 little less than half (this is how much mid vs. True bass gets out)

#4 doesn't matter

#5 middle

Play with 3 if the tone is too high coming from sub and 5 for more or less bass

Edit.....just saw that may have a 1/2 channel switch. I'd so, no need for the y.

generally, this would be fine...but it should be asked, what kind of voltage do you have on your preouts?

im rinning my stock head unit in a 07 dodge caliber with a Mobile Authority adjustable line level converter Model: HSHL-2 so im not 100% shure on that...
