SO FI bl or Q's?

I'm coming from (2) 13.5 JL W6v2's powered by a JL 1000/1. Sealed to JL spec.

I'm looking to get louder (obviously), but mainly in the lower note region. I'm trying to really achieve the "feel it in ur chest" and "makes your voice disappear" low octave sound.

This would be daily on music, so I also don't want it to sound like total garbage.

Currently my next amplifier choice is a Audioque 2200D which puts out 2200watts rms @ 1 ohm. OR I could buy a second 1000/1 for the subs.

So which subwoofers/configuration would you suggest? I was kind of torn between your BL and Q lines. I noticed that BL is not recommended in a sealed enclosure.

Furthermore, this is going inside my trunk, so enclosure size is an issue. I figured I wouldn't have enough space for 15 inch subwoofer enclosure volumes.

I'm willing to design a ported box, but I'm unsure still whether or not to go with the BL's (ported box required) or the Q line, or with a second 1000/1 for that matter.

well, if i go 2 12 inch BL's, should I pick up a second 1000/1v2 or sell the one I already have and get an AQ2200?

yeah that may not be a bad call. blah never built a ported box before. im concerned that i'll lose low note extension by going ported.

mmm hah everyone has different opinons. I'm ready to buy the subs, but I'm not sure if I should try and fit the 15's or the 12's

YES!

A very large difference. trust me a well built ported box is a lot cheaper than a whole new setup. There is no reason you should be displeased with the W6v2's output or accuracy.

If you can fit it, do it.
