i did that to one of my MT's. had coil rub like a mother. wall socketed it about 20 times for about 15 seconds each and the skank didnt blow. put it back in my truck and she performed better from there on out.

lol- did that to one of my team rf's.. got stinky, coil rubbed like crazy, but the bastard still worked, adn put up similar numbers as before.... total time on the outlet was like 5min 30 sec...

oh they do.. (the trf's at least) i just wouldnt recommend it for a sub you want to keep in good condition.. now the crossfite xt15 i socketed.. diff. story, lol
