SO confused!- what amp to get?

I want a Mono amp to power two Alpine 1242D's (shown here- )

I will be wiring it in series to achieve a 1 ohm load so it has to be 1 ohm stable. ill also be wiring it with a knukonceptz 4 gauge wiring kit.

Now at first i was looking into alpine amps but was told i could get more wattage for my money and to look into soundstream amps. how does it look? any others i should look into or that i should absolutely go with over anything else? lost and neep some help, i dont want to spend what little money i have on shit. thats another thing, i dont want to spend over 400 on an amp. 300 would be nice..

checked em both out and i really like the elemental designs nine.1 looks alot cleaner than that dumb soundstream too!

but would I have to get their wiring kit? the reason i ask is because i noticed how it has the remote and their wiring kit has a Remote Turn-On Wire which i dont see in the knukonceptz.. or is that just some wire i can pick up at my local best buy?

you can get whatever kind of wire you want. Every wiring kit should come with remote turn-on wire, but if the kit somehow doesn't, you can easily buy however many feet of wire you need.

Hifonics Brutus and Memphis make very clean and powerful mono amps that go down to a 1 ohm load.
